Twenty One Pilots are currently in the middle of their Emotional Roadshow tour alongside Mutemath and Chef’Special, but this brilliant live recording of their single ‘Ride’ is from the Blurryface Live project late last year, directed by Mark Eshleman and the Reel Bear Media team. Check out the video, filmed at Oakland’s Fox Theater, below:
The video captures the energy of a twenty one pilots show and just some of the amazing graphics and light shows on display. It shows Josh Dun’s infamous island drumming, playing out in the crowd held up by some fans. It makes me miss seeing these guys live, there isn’t another live performance like theirs.
If you have the chance, then go and grab yourself some tickets. Their Emotional Roadshow is travelling the world, with them returning to Australia and Europe amongst others, their currently touring the US and they’re playing at Reading and Leeds this year. But let me tell you, this band (who just won two Skully’s for Best Band and Best Album) are one you have to experience live – there is nothing else like it.
For more on the Blurryface Live project check out my interview with Mark from earlier this year.
