Henchman – VISTA

Recently the rock scene has had more female-fronted bands to offer; Paramore, PVRIS and Against The Current. And the most recent offering, Vista will not disappoint. After abandoning a solo pop-punk career, singer Hope Vista teamed up with her touring guitarist and a friend to bring to life alt-rock band Vista.Bringing stunning vocals, infectious beats and crushing guitar riffs, their latest single ‘Henchman’ is a sign of what’s to come.

Immediately ‘Henchman’ grabs your attention with soaring guitar sounds. The song blends aspects of pop, rock and punk beautifully to craft a song that leaves you desperate for more. Each band member brings a beautifully unique sound that’s been influenced by past musical endeavours and personal favourites to create something that is difficult to turn off.

Vocally this song blew me away; harmonies during the chorus came as a welcome shock and left me wanting to listen to a whole lot more from this band. Their strong sound reminded me of Paramore – vocally powerful in a way that brought to mind Hayley William’s crushing rock tones. Sonically, these bands channel vibes similar to Set It Off, Against The Current and All Time Low; a brilliant pop-punk-rock mix that creates incredibly catchy songs.

‘Henchman’ will be released January 13th, so make sure you grab it. Follow the band on social media to stay up to date on new releases and live shows; this will not be a band you want to miss for they will surely continue to rise. They will be opening for Against The Current as part of their ‘In Our Bones’ World Tour, to celebrate the release of their new single. If you can, I recommend getting down to the show, with these two powerhouses  performing it will blow your socks off. It seems female-fronted rock is making a comeback.
