Interview with Rebel’s End

Belgian four-piece Rebel’s End mix the classic rock-sound of AC/DC with hard rock, punk and metal. This energetic band released their debut album two years ago and are currently working on their sophomore. They took the time to talk to me about where the name came from, their dream tour and the most difficult song to perform.

Interview with Death By Shotgun | 2/02/18

I’ve been a fan of Death By Shotgun since seeing them open for Trash Boat in Southampton last year and was super excited to catch them again in Southampton for another show and an interview. This four-piece band melds pop, punk and rock together to create catchy melodies with incredibly relatable lyrics. We talked about favourite desserts, where the band name came from and which song is hardest to play live.

OLD NOTES to release sophmore album ‘With A Heavy Heart’ | Review

Old Note’s sophomore album, ‘With A Heavy Heart’, is set for release February 16th (Friday) through Old Press Records. The follow up to their debut, ‘former self’, is a healthy evolution.  Unlike their debut, this record deals with much darker themes, including suicide, loss, abusive relationships and an overall unease with life. These troubling and evocative lyrics are paired with hypnotic guitars, heavy-hitting percussions and clean vocals that break into screams with palpable intensity.

DEATH BY SHOTGUN @ The Joiners, Southampton – 2/2/18 | Live Review

This live review is slightly different to the others featured on this site; mainly as we missed many of the bands due to coach times. This gig, headlined by Faux, at The Joiners in Southampton certainly began brilliantly. Death By Shotgun kicked off the night, followed by a band called Polary both of whom captivated the audience at one of my all-time favourite venues.

Her 135,000 subscribers obviously feel the same way if all the likes and comments are anything to go by. There’s something on her channel for everybody and it’s definitely worth scrolling through for hours.

Jasper Owen | Sing Something Saturday

Jasper Owen is relatively new to YouTube with only 4 videos on his channel. However, people were first introduced to his beautiful voice through his collaborations with Abbey Glover. Jasper has just over 5,000 followers but he deserves much more and I’m sure he’ll one day be selling out stadiums.
