IMMINENCE Release Their New Album ‘ Turn the Light on’

I am so happy for the new release from those Swedish musical geniuses and they have definitely not disappointed me. Every single song on ‘Turn the light on’ is so raw and emotional that you feel like you’re in Eddie’s heart.

BROOKLINE to release EP “Fade” | Review

Brookline, an alternative rock band from upstate New York, recently released their second single from their upcoming EP called “Fade” which comes out February 22nd, 2019. The single “Sinking” was released February 1st on Spotify, iTunes and many other streaming apps and websites. This song follows right behind the first single, “Two Thirds”.

With a mixture of 90’s alternative and current alternative, it is pleasant to listen to no matter what you’re doing. It has the perfect rhythm and beat to get you tapping your foot but leaving you to be able to have it play in the background while you’re busy cleaning or doing your homework. I would highly suggest giving this song and this band a shot, they’re definitely going to be a band that I look out for when it comes to touring!

The EP “Fade” is said to be about personal issues in which includes substance abuse. “Sinking” itself makes me feel like it’s about the vocalist being someones lighthouse, being who guides the person to better things while their friend is the ship that’s sinking. They’re trying to help their friend by bringing them to the light, cleaning them up and helping them but the friend instead keeps reverting back to drugs; in which that leads the person representing the lighthouse unsure of what to do until they realise that no matter what they do, no matter how they help, the person will always revert so they feel the need to let them go. They want to help their friend out but it’s taking a toll on them and they feel that they can’t help them any longer because it’s straining their friendship and how both parties get through the day.

Check out the song below through the link provided, don’t forget to keep any eye out for their EP “Fade” coming out February 22nd! You won’t want to miss it!

PVRIS @ O2 Academy Brixton, London – 30/11/17| Live Review

PVRIS’s largest headliner to date at O2 Academy Brixton was insane. I haven’t been to this venue since Panic! At The Disco played here, but PVRIS really owned the stage. Being sat in the Circle meant that we had an amazing view of the entire stage and the energetic crowd below. There were theatrics, a killer light show, and just fabulous performances.

Mansionz – Mansionz

This unique and crazily wild album has uprooted the music world. Mansionz is the musical project of Blackbear and Mike Posner and sees them collaborate with many other artists. This album is a sincere mismatch of heartfelt self criticism and lyrics that will leave you questioning everything. Importantly, it’s an album that finds its way to your heart no matter what music you enjoy.

Please Don’t Jump (It’s Christmas) – Dallon Weekes

Christmas came early this year, November is just coming to an end and Dallon Weekes has released another Christmas song. ‘Christmas Jambz‘ was my jam last year and I see this being the same. ‘Please Don’t Jump (It’s Christmas) is infectious. Give it a listen:

The Pugilist – Keaton Henson

Keaton Henson is an alternative musician, visual artist and poet. His personality shines through in each and every one of his artistic endeavours, be it classical music, a verse of poetry or his haunting lyrics. Henson suffers from anxiety and as a result rarely plays shows, but ‘The Pugilist’ is yet another reminder that there’s more brilliance to come.

Interview with Vesperteen

Vesperteen is the new project of Colin Rigsby, who you may recognise from House of Heroes. I first discovered Vesperteen thanks to Reel Bear Media, who filmed a brilliant music video for  the song ‘Obsess Possess’ (and Josh Dun shout outs) and have been a fan ever since. Colin took the time to answer some questions about his latest EP, what he wants to achieve through his music and the Columbus music scene.
