I first discovered Hands Like Houses when they opened for Of Mice And Men last year, since then I’ve been a massive fan – travelling to Southampton to catch them live again just a month after seeing them for the first time. And they’ve blown me away again with their release of ‘Drift’. The single comes alongside an announcement of signing with Hopeless Records.
Lower than Atlantis have announced their support acts for their tour taking place next March to celebrate the release of their fifth album ‘Safe in Sound’. Joining them will be Hands Like Houses, Young Guns and ROAM.
Hands Like Houses’ show at Southampton’s Joiners was a last minute affair, organised due to the cancellation of Of Mice And Men’s ‘Cold World’ Tour. Though it was more than worth it, the intimate venue provided a chance for newer fans to catch them in a new light. Support for the night came from up-coming band Glass Foundations.
Despite Of Mice And Men having to cut the set short due to lead singer Austin Carlisle’s condition, this was still an amazing show. Both Crown The Empire and Hands Like Houses had the crowd dancing, singing and screaming like a headline band would. The Pyramid Centre itself was lovely, filled with brilliant staff (including everyone’s favourite dancing security guard). I can’t wait to see these acts again and to attend more shows at the Pyramid Centre.
Of Mice and Men will headline Portsmouth’s Pyramid Centre celebrating the release of their latest album ‘Cold World’.
