It’s no secret that I love Twenty One Pilots. But this show blew me away, last time I was surrounded by tall people and couldn’t see much, this time I was sat in the balcony with a perfect view and I don’t think life could ever get better. As usual the O2 Academy Birmingham was lovely, the staff were incredibly friendly and the security guards did a fantastic job of looking after the crowd.
A few hours after the interview I returned to the O2 Academy in Liverpool to see Walk The Moon rock the place with support from the fabulous Colony House, the queue snaked round the building and the room was buzzing with excitement. The venue itself was a great one, with a great view of the stage and really friendly staff. The show was brilliant, with both acts giving a brilliant, high-energy show that sent the crowd crazy.
I first saw Jeremy Loops last November when he opened for Twenty One Pilots and I fell in love with him. His show was amazing, so when I found out he was coming back to Oxford I couldn’t miss it. It did not disappoint at all. The Bullingdon was a lovely venue; the staff were wonderful and the small size made for a brilliant intimate gig.
Panic! At The Disco have quite the reputation when it comes to live performances, I knew the show was going to be amazing and I was not disappointed at all. The show at the famous O2 Academy Brixton was to celebrate the release of their latest album, ‘Death Of A Bachelor’ which is released on January 15th, and saw them playing their first show of 2016 and some of their new songs for the first time.
Another amazing concert; Imagine Dragons fully live up to the hype. It was a flawless performance that had the crowd singing and dancing at all the right moments. The venue was brilliant, it was packed full of singing Imagine Dragons fans and I can’t imagine it any different. The room was buzzing with an energy that lasted the whole night.
This was unlike any concert I have ever been to, there was an electric energy in the air that kept everyone on edge in the best of ways. I’ve never danced for so long in my life, and didn’t know that I was physically capable of it (and the aches and pains that followed would say that I’m really not). Every single person in that room enjoyed the show and were emotionally invested in the whole thing, as someone who’d been queuing since 11:30 finally getting into the venue was insane.
